Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

Awal Global Consults Limited ("Awal Global Consults," "we," "us," or "our") provides CAC registration, trademark, legal documentation, and business compliance services in Nigeria. This policy explains what personal and business information we collect when you use our website, contact us, or engage our services, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

By using our website, submitting the contact form, applying through our KYC portal, or messaging us on WhatsApp, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't submit your information to us — you're welcome to contact us with questions before you do.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Identity information — your full name, phone number, email address, and residential or business address.
  • Government-issued ID details — such as your National Identification Number (NIN), NIN slip, National ID card, or international passport, when required for CAC registration, TIN, or other regulatory filings.
  • Business information — proposed business or company names, nature of business, shareholding or trustee structure, and related documents needed for registration or compliance work.
  • Uploaded documents — files you submit through our KYC portal or send us directly (e.g. via WhatsApp or email) in the course of a registration or filing.
  • Communications — the content of messages you send us through our contact form, WhatsApp, email, or Instagram, and records of our replies.
  • Payment-related information — such as confirmation of a bank transfer or Paystack payment. We do not collect or store your full card or bank account details ourselves; these are handled directly by our payment providers (see "Who we share information with" below).
  • Website usage data — general analytics about how visitors use our website (e.g. pages viewed, general location, device type), collected through Google Analytics. See "Cookies and analytics" below.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Understand what service you need and provide an accurate quote.
  • Prepare, file, and follow up on registrations and filings with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Nigeria Revenue Service, SCUML, and other relevant government agencies on your behalf.
  • Communicate with you about the status of your registration, filing, or enquiry.
  • Deliver certificates, documents, letterheads, and other deliverables tied to the service you requested.
  • Meet our own legal, tax, and regulatory record-keeping obligations.
  • Improve our website and service based on general usage patterns (not tied to identifying you individually).

We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to the service you engaged us for, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), Nigeria's data protection authority. In practice, this means we only collect and process the information reasonably necessary to provide the service you've asked for, we rely on your consent when you submit information to us, and we process certain information because it's required to fulfil a government registration or filing you've instructed us to carry out.

Who we share information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where necessary:

  • Government agencies — the CAC, Nigeria Revenue Service, SCUML, and other relevant bodies, strictly as required to complete the registration or filing you've instructed us to handle.
  • Service providers we rely on to run our business — for example, Brevo (email delivery), Cloudflare (website hosting), Google Analytics (website usage statistics), and payment processors such as Paystack and our bank. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their specific function and are bound by their own data protection obligations.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a regulatory authority.

We do not share your documents or personal details with any third party for marketing purposes.

The KYC portal and document handling

Our online KYC portal collects the information needed to start your registration — your contact details, the service you need, and (where relevant) supporting documents such as your ID or business details. Submissions are sent securely to our team for processing. We treat every document you upload with the same confidentiality as documents you hand to us in person or send via WhatsApp — it is used only for the purpose you submitted it for.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service you engaged us for, to meet our own legal and tax record-keeping obligations, and to be able to assist you with related follow-up requests (such as post-incorporation filings) in the future. If you'd like us to delete information we hold about you and it's not something we're required to retain by law, contact us and we'll act on that request — see "Your rights" below.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand general visitor behaviour — such as which pages are viewed and how visitors reach the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this; you can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some site features may not function as smoothly without them.

Your rights

Under the NDPA, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to hold, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.
  • Withdraw consent for us to process your information, where consent is the basis for that processing (note: this may mean we're unable to continue a registration or filing that depends on that information).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information you share with us, including restricting access to client documents to the team members who need them to complete your service, and using reputable, secure third-party providers for hosting, email, and payments. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we treat client confidentiality as a core part of how we operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services or applicable law change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
